Having obtained my Fellowship from The International Congress of Oral Implantologists in 1988, I have placed and restored in excess of 15,000 implants during my career ..... and this simplified method which I have proven to be successful since 2003, is not only suitable for EVERY general dentist to perform but has a 95% success rate over 20 years. And best of all, it enjoys virtually a 100% treatment acceptance rate by informed patients when they compare it to the option of having conventional surgical implants.
Simplicity Of Treatments
The keyhole implant method I teach is so versatile that it can be used to solve a myriad of problems, from single tooth replacement to full arch reconstruction.
As you can see from the scrolling images above, it is also very forgiving, with implants as short as 6mms and only 2.3 - 2.8mm in diameter, these implants eliminate the need for ridge grafting and sinus lift procedures.
Applications Of This Knowledge
The clinical and financial limitations of many patients have required solutions that are outside traditional norms, especially for patients whose alveolar ridges were too narrow for conventional implants or with minimal depth. Many were also performed for patients who were medically unfit for surgically-placed implants or who could not afford bone grafts, sinus lifts and conventional surgically-placed implants.
You will come across many such situations during your years of general practice (if you haven't already done so) and such solutions will definitely assist your patients and build your practice.
When it comes to replacing missing teeth, over four decades of experience have confirmed to me that many treatments which do not conform to traditional protocols still change patients' lives for the better! The test of time has proven that implant dentistry does not need to be unnecessarily complex! As long as you can place a post in a root canal, you can replace missing teeth with implants!
So don't stress over the complexities that others may have taught you which may have caused you to avoid providing solutions with implants for your patients!
